“Hunger” is a personal short film that explores the connection between food, identity, and belonging. Loosely based on the filmmaker’s experience as a Korean immigrant in Singapore, the story reflects how diverse food cultures can offer comfort and familiarity in a new environment. Through the lens of memory and adaptation, the film shows that finding your place takes time—and that it’s okay to feel lost along the way.
